Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Hebrew inscription arranged within a wreath border, reading 'Yehudah the High Priest and the Council of the Jews.' The lettering is in archaic square Hebrew script, crudely struck as typical of Hasmonean bronze coinage. The legend is distributed across several lines filling the flan, with no central figural motif. Strike is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production at the Jerusalem mint circa 104 BC.
