Obverse description Degraded bust of a king facing right in Sassanian style, with the Brahmi legend 'Sri' positioned above the crown, of which only the upper stroke remains visible on this specimen, and the Brahmi letter 'Ma' appearing in the field before the bust. The effigy is rendered in imitation of late Sassanian royal portraiture, with associated stylised motifs distributed around the portrait in the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
