Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a stylized crenelated tower depicted in profile, featuring three merlons above a wide arched gateway, rendered in the crude hammered style characteristic of Crusader small coinage. The tower motif, a heraldic emblem of the County of Tripoli, occupies the full field of the inner circle. The surrounding legend is partially visible along the outer border of this irregularly struck flan.
