| Beschrijving voorzijde | Stylized schematic head facing right within a raised circular border, rendered in the abstract Celtic artistic tradition characteristic of Gaulish potin coinage. The facial features are highly simplified, with the head reduced to a series of curved and angular relief elements. The field is uneven due to the cast production method, and no inscription or legend is present. The flan is irregular with a pronounced scalloped or lobed outer edge typical of cast Gaulish potins. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Durocasses occupied territory around modern Dreux in the Eure-et-Loir, a tribe small enough that their coinage corpus is thin — DT 2630 sits among a handful of attributed types that allow us to identify them at all. Potin production among Gaulish tribes generally preceded and then overlapped with Caesar's campaigns, and much of what survives comes from hoards buried during or immediately after the Gallic Wars, coins never recovered by their owners.
