| Beschrijving voorzijde | A humped bull (Nandi) depicted in profile to the left occupies the central field of this crudely struck potin unit. The bovine figure is rendered in a highly schematic, provincial style characteristic of early Kadamba coinage. Surrounding the bull, a Brahmi legend encircles the field, reading the royal name or epithet associated with the issuer Vishnurudra Buddhananda. The flan is irregular and shows the characteristic dark, oxidized surface typical of potin alloy coins of this period. |
