Obverse description A stylized conch shell (shankha) depicted frontally at center, rendered in a schematic, abstract manner characteristic of early medieval Indian potin coinage. The device is surrounded by a border of raised pellets arranged in a circular pattern. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the coarse, granular texture typical of cast potin fabric.
