Early Kannada legend reading 'Sri Do Sha Ra Shi' arranged around or within the divided circle. The flan is irregular and slightly oval, consistent with cast potin coinage of the early Kadamba period. The design is rendered in a bold, somewhat crude style typical of early medieval South Indian issues. |
