Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination ПОЛУШКА (Polushka) inscribed in two lines across the central field, with the Cyrillic date rendered in Church Slavonic numerical notation in the lower portion of the field. A continuous Cyrillic legend occupies the full outer border, proclaiming the ruler's title. The lettering is bold and characteristic of the early eighteenth-century Russian copper coinage, struck in a somewhat crude but vigorous manner typical of the Moscow mint workshops of this period.
