Obverse description Central device features a crowned double-headed Imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, occupying the majority of the field. The eagle is rendered in the early Petrine style, with a single crown surmounting both heads and a shield on the breast. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Cyrillic legend reading the Tsar's title arranged around the eagle within a beaded outer border.
