Obverse description Central field displays the ornate interlaced Cyrillic cipher of Emperor Alexander II, composed of the letter 'A' surmounted by the Roman numeral 'II', rendered in an elaborate scrollwork monogram. The imperial crown appears above the cipher, with decorative foliate flourishes extending to either side. The coin border features a toothed (dentilated) rim encircling the entire design.
