Obverse description Draped and crowned bust of Empress Elizabeth I facing right, wearing an imperial crown surmounted by a cross, her hair dressed in elaborate curls falling to the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the lace and jewelled bodice ornament. A circular Cyrillic legend surrounds the portrait, interrupted at the base by the mint mark ММД.
