| 附加信息 |
Peter III's reign lasted just 186 days before Catherine II's coup in July 1762, making any coinage bearing his portrait exceptionally short-lived in production. The Moscow Mint — ММД — struck poltinas under him during this window, and the political abruptness of his removal meant dies were retired almost immediately upon Catherine's accession.
Surviving examples in circulated grades are the rule rather than the exception; the instinct to hoard coins bearing a deposed and shortly murdered emperor's portrait was understandably suppressed.
