| 表面の説明 | Left-facing draped bust of Empress Catherine I occupying the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair dressed in an elaborate upswept coiffure adorned with a pearl-stranded ornament. The Empress is depicted in imperial robes with a sash across the chest, her décolletage and shoulders draped in a classically styled mantle with ornate scrollwork at the shoulders. The circular Cyrillic legend runs along the full periphery, reading ЕКАТЕРIНА IМПЕРАТРIЦА·IСАМОДЕРЖИЦА∙ВСЕРОСIИСКАЯ, identifying her as Empress and Autocrat of All Russia. The portrait reflects the Western European Baroque medallic style characteristic of early 18th-century Russian coinage. The coin border is decorated with fine milled denticles. |
