Obverse description A crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed at center, with wings spread, occupying the majority of the field. The date appears above the eagle beneath the crown, and the denomination legend curves around the left and right periphery and along the lower portion of the coin. Mint initials appear in the lower field flanking the eagle's tail. The design is executed in the neoclassical style characteristic of Alexandrine-era Russian coinage.
