| Obverse description | Crowned and armored half-length effigy of King Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing a ruff collar and royal robes, holding a scepter in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left. The king is depicted seated on a throne, rendered in a detailed Renaissance style typical of Polish royal portraiture of the early seventeenth century. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the effigy along the outer rim of the coin. |
