| Popis rubu | Central quartered royal arms of Poland-Lithuania, comprising the White Eagle of Poland and the mounted knight (Pahonia) of Lithuania in alternating quarters, with an inescutcheon bearing the Ciołek bull's head of the Poniatowski family. The elaborate shield is surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial and flanked by decorative oak and palm branches emerging from the base. The mintmaster's initials E•B• appear at the bottom of the field below the shield. The circumferential Latin legend, divided by the date 1788, reads XX EN MARCA PURA COLONIEN, denoting the fineness standard of 20 coins to the Cologne mark of pure silver. |
