| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Augustus III, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony, wearing an elaborate crown and armored drapery with fine engraving detail. The portrait features long flowing curled hair falling over the shoulder and a prominent royal crown surmounting the head. A fine beaded inner border frames the effigy. The Latin legend encircles the portrait reading D G AVGVSTVS III REX POLONIARUM, attributing the king his full royal title by the grace of God.
