| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Jan II Kazimierz Waza facing right, wearing an elaborate arched crown surmounted by fleurs-de-lis and a cross, with long flowing hair and a beard, dressed in a lace collar and armored shoulder plate. The effigy is rendered in a bold, high-relief Baroque style typical of the Gdańsk mint. A circular beaded inner border frames the portrait, with the Latin royal titulary legend running continuously around the periphery. |
