Reverse description A spread eagle displayed with wings raised, rendered in a bold, stylised Gothic manner, occupies the central field within an inner beaded border. The eagle's head is turned, and the plumage of the wings and tail feathers is rendered with incised detail characteristic of hammered billon coinage of the Jagiellonian period. The surrounding peripheral legend in uncial Latin lettering reads MAGNI DVC LITVANIE, identifying Alexander as Grand Duke of Lithuania, though portions of the inscription are weakly struck due to the irregular flan.
