| Obverse description | Central field bears the elaborately interlaced royal cypher of Stanisław August Poniatowski, composed of the conjoined initials S and A in a decorative Baroque script, surmounted by a royal crown with beaded arches. The date 1786 is divided across the field, with '17' to the left and '86' to the right of the monogram. The coin is struck on a plain copper flan with a reeded border running along the rim. |
