Reverse description Central field bears a large royal crown, depicted frontally with three fleurs-de-lis finials and a decorated band, set within a plain inner circle. The crown is rendered in a robust Gothic style typical of Jagiellonian półgrosze struck at Kraków. The surrounding Latin legend in uncial characters reads MOnETA REGIS POLOnIE, translating as 'Coin of the King of Poland', with the characteristic use of Gothic minuscule 'n' within the predominantly capital lettering. The fields show typical surface texture and irregularity consistent with hand-hammered production.
