Produced by De Nederlandsche Munt as an educational supplement accompanying a coin-striking kit aimed at children, this piece was never legal tender and carries no serial number or security features. The Royal Dutch Mint issued these small paper inserts through the late 1960s as part of a broader effort to make mint operations accessible to the public — the "muntslag" sets were sold through the mint's own retail channel and included a hand-operated press and planchet blanks.

Collector interest is modest but genuine, largely because so few complete sets survived intact.
