| Obverse description | High-relief scene depicting Saint Nicholas, robed and mitred with a crozier, bending forward to distribute nuts from a bowl to four children, one of whom kneels before him in the foreground. To the right, the demonic Krampus figure, bearing a sack and a birch switch, looms menacingly behind the saint. The legend NIKOLAUS appears in raised letters along the lower border, flanked by decorative rectangular devices, with the engraver's signature K. PERL and the date 1919 incised in the lower right field. |
