INCORPORATED ROBERT FULTON'S "CLERMONT" THE WORLD'S FIRST SUCCESSFUL STEAM-PROPELLED VESSEL MADE HER MAIDEN RUN FROM NEW YORK TO ALBANY ON AUGUST 17, 1807. 133 FEET LONG, WITH A BEAM OF 13 FEET AND A DRAFT OF 2 FEET, SHE WAS POWERED BY A BOULTON AND WATT 24 H. P. BELL CRANK ENGINE. THE WORKING MODEL USED IN HER CONSTRUCTION WAS BUILT IN THE SMALL WATCH-REPAIR SHOP OF HENRI FREDERIC FRASSE, WHO EXPANDED INTO THE "MACHINIST-SUPPLIES" BUSINESS IN 1816.
