The shield is surrounded by an inner beaded circle. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the outer border, naming the two issuing rulers: King John of Bohemia (Jean the Blind) and Count Henry IV of Bar. The overall design is characteristic of hammered silver coinage produced under the Luxembourg-Bar monetary convention of the mid-14th century. |
