Reverse description Central field displays a bold long cross with expanded arms, dividing the inner circle into four quarters, each canton filled with a small heraldic charge or fleur-de-lis motif in the Gothic manner. The cross extends to the inner beaded or cable border that frames the design. An uncial Latin legend circumscribes the entire reverse, identifying the mint of Avioth. The strike is typical of hammered billon coinage, showing slight weakness in areas due to uneven flan thickness. The plain edge and irregular outline are consistent with hand-cut planchet preparation.
