| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large Gothic crowned letter P, the crown rendered in high relief with elaborate floral and foliate finials. The letter P occupies the lower portion of the design beneath the crown, which fills the upper field. A circular inner beaded border encloses the central device, with the Gothic uncial legend running along the outer circumference. Secret mint symbols may appear at various positions around the crowned P depending on the die variety. |

| Reverse description | Cross pattee formed by four escutcheons arranged in cruciform pattern, each shield bearing five roundels (quinas) in saltire, the arrangement characteristic of the Portuguese royal arms of the House of Burgundy. A central escutcheon displays the quinas in the traditional arrangement. The outer border consists of a beaded circle, with the fragmented devotional legend disposed around the circumference in Gothic uncial script. The overall design reflects the heraldic conventions of 14th-century Iberian coinage. |
