| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the initials of the lords of Pesaro are arranged in the field, accompanied by a star positioned above and below the letters. The surrounding legend, rendered in uncial Latin characters, reads the abbreviated titulature of Pandolfo and Galeazzo as Lords of Pesaro. The overall design is characteristic of the small hammered billon coinage of the Malatesta signoria, struck on an irregular flan with a somewhat crude but legible die. |
