| Obverse description | Central field displays the heraldic shield bearing the Montefeltro arms, set within an inner beaded circle. A small spread eagle is positioned at the top of the shield, surmounting the arms. The legend, rendered in uncial letterforms, is distributed around the field outside the beaded circle, reading VR VI NI as an abbreviation for Urbino. The overall execution is characteristic of late medieval Italian hammered billon coinage, with an irregular flan and somewhat crude but intentional design elements. |

The monogram, constructed around the letters F and E, is boldly struck and occupies the majority of the inner field. The surrounding legend, in uncial Latin script, reads FEDERICVS CO, an abbreviation for Federicus Comes (Count Frederick), interrupted and flanked by pellet stops. The design is typical of fifteenth-century Italian signorial coinage, with the personal cipher of the ruler serving as the principal reverse type. |
