| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cross side of the cob-style doubloon replica, displaying a bold floriated cross with trefoil terminals dividing the field into four quadrants. The upper-left and lower-right quadrants bear the castles of Castile, while the upper-right and lower-left quadrants bear the lions of León, replicating the quartered royal arms of Spain. A partial circular legend surrounds the design, largely indistinct due to the cast cob (macuquina) format. The overall style faithfully imitates the irregular hammered coinage of the Spanish colonial mints of the early eighteenth century. |
