| Obverse description | Crowned bust of Ferdinand I facing left, depicted with flowing hair beneath an ornate crown with fleurs-de-lis and cross motifs, wearing armored pauldron visible at the shoulder truncation. The effigy is rendered in the Gothic portrait style typical of early Habsburg coinage from the Linz mint. A beaded inner border separates the portrait from the surrounding circular Latin legend, which reads FERDINAND PRINC ET INFANS HISP, identifying Ferdinand as Prince and Infante of Spain. |
