Reverse description The reverse displays a deeply incuse square impression resulting from the hammered bracteate-style striking technique employed at the Vienna mint in this period. The central area shows the faint counter-relief ghost image of the obverse monogram, as is typical of thin medieval silver pfennigs struck on a single die with an anvil punch. The surface is heavily worn and textured, with no distinct legend or subsidiary device discernible. The irregular flan edges and concave profile are consistent with standard Viennese pfennig production of the late fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries.
