Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized facing bust or head within a beaded inner circle, rendered in the crude, flat relief characteristic of early 12th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced Pfennig coinage. The figure appears helmeted or crowned, with schematic facial features. Surrounding the central device is a further beaded or rope-pattern border. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-cut hammered production of the period.
