| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a plain inner circle, a lion passant to the right, rendered in a bold, somewhat naive medieval style typical of 14th-century south German bracteate-related coinage. The animal is depicted with raised forepaw, open mouth, and a curled tail, its body occupying the central field. The characteristic four-pinched ('Vierzipfliger') flan shape is visible at the coin's periphery, formed by pinching the round planchet at four equidistant points prior to striking. The surface relief is shallow, consistent with lightly hammered small silver coinage of the period. No legend is present. |
