Partial legend TVREGVM (referring to Zurich) distributed around the field, interspersed with small decorative elements. The flan exhibits the characteristic four-pinched (Vierzipfliger) irregular scalloped border typical of Zurich bracteate-style pfennigs of the 14th century. The surface shows the natural flow lines and flan irregularities consistent with hand-cut silver blanks of 14th-century ecclesiastical mint production at Zurich. |
