| Obverse description | Janus-like conjoined facing busts of the patron saints Felix and Regula, depicted side by side in a Romanesque style within a beaded inner circle. The two faces share a single neck and are rendered in a crude but expressive manner characteristic of medieval Swiss bracteate-related coinage. The legend ZVRICH appears around the field, identifying the issuing city. The irregular flan displays the characteristic four-pinched ('Vierzipfliger') form typical of Zurich pfennigs of this period. |
