| Beschrijving voorzijde | Facing left bust of Saint Ursus, patron of the city of Solothurn, rendered in a schematic Romanesque style characteristic of late 13th-century Swiss bracteates. The effigy displays three stylized curls framing the face, surmounted by a flat headgear tapering to a forward-pointing apex. The inscription VRSVS appears in the field, identifying the depicted saint. The design is struck on a thin, irregularly trimmed square silver flan with the image showing in relief on the obverse and incuse on the reverse, as is typical of bracteate coinage. |
