| Obverse description | Full-length frontal effigy of a bishop in pontifical vestments, rendered in low relief in the crude Romanesque style typical of late 12th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs. The figure holds a crozier and raises the right hand in benediction. A circular legend surrounds the central image, though the strike is weak and the lettering largely illegible on most surviving specimens. |
