| Obverse description | Frontal bust of a bishop in ecclesiastical vestments, holding a sword upright in his right hand and a stemmed orb or cross-tipped scepter in his left. The effigy is rendered in the schematic Romanesque style typical of Friesach-type bracteate coinage circa 1200. A partially legible Latin legend, reading [...] EEA [.] NAE, encircles the bust and is confined between two concentric beaded or linear borders. |
