| Obverse description | Frontal bust of a crowned duke or bishop enthroned, rendered in bold relief typical of early 13th-century Austrian hammered coinage. The figure wears a crown and holds regalia, with the body depicted in a stylized, hieratic manner characteristic of Friesach-type pfennigs. A circular beaded or rope-style inner border frames the central effigy. The surrounding field contains the partial Latin legend +CRNCA - N DVX, distributed around the periphery. Decorative elements, possibly floral or foliate motifs, fill portions of the field flanking the bust. |
