| 正面描述 | Central eight-pointed star with a pellet at its center, the points radiating outward to fill the inner field. A single pellet or dot is placed in each of the four cardinal angles between the star's points. The design is enclosed within a double line circle, with the Latin legend running in the outer margin between the two concentric line borders. The coin is uniface and struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan typical of medieval Austrian bracteate-style pfennigs. |

Ulrich III ruled Carinthia during a period of acute dynastic instability — the Babenberg line had collapsed in 1246, and control of the Alpine duchies was actively contested between the Přemyslid kings of Bohemia and the Hungarian crown. Völkermarkt, one of the oldest minting sites in Carinthia, issued this pfennig under Ulrich's authority as he navigated shifting allegiances between these competing powers, ultimately dying in 1269 without a male heir, which handed Carinthia directly to Ottokar II of Bohemia.
