| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device depicts an eagle displayed with spread wings, rendered in a flat, archaic style typical of 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs. Flanking the eagle are two towers or turrets, likely representing the fortifications of St. Veit an der Glan, the mint city. A crescent or lunette motif appears above the eagle's head, a heraldic element common to Carinthian coinage of this period. The entire design is set within a plain inner circle border, with the surrounding field left unlettered. The flan is irregular and slightly buckled, consistent with hand-hammered medieval silver coinage. |
