Reverse description A patriarchal cross with a double traverse displayed centrally within an octagonal or polygonal frame, itself set within a concave circular border. Above the cross, a small annulet or ring device is visible at the top of the frame. The composition is boldly rendered in high relief against the plain field, typical of the St. Veit mint coinage under Duke Ulrich III of Carinthia. No surrounding legend is present; the design fills the flan to its irregular edges.
