Reverse description The reverse presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design, as is characteristic of bracteate-style or thin hammered pfennigs of the Styrian type. The sunken relief shows the outline of the fortified gate with flanking rosettes and central shield, visible as a negative impression. The field is largely flat and unadorned, with a faint inner circle traceable around the central device. No inscription or additional device appears on the reverse.
