| Beschrijving voorzijde | A plain Greek cross with splayed arms set within a beaded inner circle, occupying the central field. The surrounding annular band carries a partial Latin legend reading MO[A?] [SC] VITI, referencing the mint of St. Veit (Sankt Veit an der Glan), the principal mint of the Duchy of Carinthia. The irregular flan and characteristic die style are consistent with hammered bracteate-related pfennig coinage of the late thirteenth century. Small pellets or decorative elements appear at the quarters between the legend and the inner circle. |
