A prominent patriarchal or processional cross rises above the central group, dominating the upper field. The composition is rendered in low relief in the medieval Romanesque style typical of mid-13th century Austrian bracteate-related coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of hammered silver pfennigs of this period. No legible inscription is present on this side. |
