| Obverse description | Central shield bearing a lion passant, flanked by the initial letters of the issuing authority: P (Petrus) to the left, E at the top, and C (Curia/Chur) to the right, identifying Bishop Peter II Rascher. The design is enclosed within a beaded circle. The coin was struck by hammering, resulting in a characteristically irregular flan with shallow, worn relief typical of small billon issues of the period. Two varieties are recorded, distinguished by the direction of the lion: facing right (2-398a) or facing left (2-398b). |
