Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of the Patriarch, depicted in episcopal vestments with a patriarchal cross surmounting a crown or mitre above his head, arms extended outward in an orant-like posture, the whole enclosed within a beaded or rope-like inner circle. The style is characteristic of late 12th-century Friulian hammered coinage, with schematic rendering of drapery folds and facial features reduced to simple linear elements. No legend is present, the figure occupying the full field without dividing inscription.

Reverse description Stylized architectural facade of the Basilica of Aquileia, featuring a central domed structure flanked by two towers, all rising above an open arcade of rounded arches supported on columns; a large cross appears prominently below the arcade in the lower field. The entire composition is contained within a beaded double circle. The rendering is highly schematic, consistent with the Romanesque artistic conventions of late 12th-century Friulian ecclesiastical coinage.
