| Aanvullende informatie |
Ottokar II of Bohemia controlled Carinthia and Carniola through a combination of inheritance, political maneuvering, and military pressure during the 1260s and 70s, making him briefly one of the most powerful rulers in Central Europe. These Pfennige issued from Stein in Oberkrain — modern Kamnik in Slovenia — were struck during that window of Přemyslid dominance over the region, before Rudolf of Habsburg defeated and killed Ottokar at the Battle of Dürnkrut in 1278, ending Bohemian control of the Austrian duchies entirely.
