| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a stylized Styrian panther passant is depicted in high relief, rendered in the bold, schematic manner characteristic of 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. The panther faces left with an open mouth and a prominent curling tongue, its body rendered with simplified musculature. A pointed sword or lance appears to the left of the central device, and a small trefoil ornament is visible to the right in the field. The surrounding area shows the characteristic irregular flan edge produced by the hammered technique. |
